Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors
- Develop persuasive grant proposals and applications aligned with funders' priorities and organizational missions
- Craft compelling narratives that articulate program impact and community need
- Manage grant budgets, reporting requirements, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with program staff to gather data and project information
- Maintain accurate grant tracking systems and submission calendars
- Build relationships with funders and represent the organization at grant-related meetings
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with a proven track record of securing funding
- Portfolio of successfully funded grant proposals (minimum $500,000 secured)
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Experience with major grant databases (e.g., GrantStation, Instrumentl)
- Knowledge of nonprofit finance and budget development
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
