Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational mission
- Write compelling grant proposals, reports, and funding applications (average 2-3 per month)
- Develop program narratives and budgets for diverse funding sources
- Build relationships with program staff to gather program data and impact stories
- Manage grant compliance reporting and documentation systems
- Participate in 20 hours/week of structured grant writing training
- Collaborate with senior grant writers on complex funding strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Non-profit Management, or related field
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Strong research and analytical abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and grant management databases
- Passion for non-profit mission and community impact
- Ability to learn quickly in a structured training environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must be authorized to work in the US
