Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and pursue federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, narratives, and budgets exceeding $1M annually
- Manage relationships with program staff to gather impact data and program information
- Maintain accurate grant calendars, reporting deadlines, and compliance documentation
- Analyze funding trends and donor landscapes to inform strategic funding initiatives
- Collaborate on stewardship activities including grant reporting and donor communications
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of grant regulations and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 3+ years professional grant writing experience with proven track record of securing funding
- Exceptional writing skills with portfolio demonstrating successful grant narratives
- Proficiency in grant databases (e.g., Candid, GrantStation) and CRM systems
- Strong analytical abilities for budget development and program impact assessment
- Experience with both public and private funding sources (government, foundations, corporate)
- Detail-oriented project management skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines
