Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from federal, state, private, and corporate sources
- Develop compelling grant proposals, narratives, and supporting documents tailored to specific funders
- Collaborate with program staff to gather impact data and program information
- Manage grant application processes including budgets, reporting requirements, and compliance
- Build and maintain relationships with funding partners and program officers
- Prepare grant reports and ensure timely submission of all deliverables
- Analyze grant outcomes and recommend funding strategies for organizational growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with documented funding success
- Proven track record securing grants from diverse funding sources ($50K+ awards)
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Strong research and analytical abilities to identify funding opportunities
- Experience with nonprofit accounting principles and budget development
- Proficiency in grant management software (e.g., GrantStation, Salesforce)
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
