Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and pursue grant opportunities from federal, state, private foundation, and corporate sources
- Develop compelling grant proposals that align with organizational mission and funding priorities
- Manage grant application process including budgets, narratives, and compliance documentation
- Cultivate relationships with program staff to gather program data and impact stories
- Prepare interim and final grant reports demonstrating program outcomes and financial stewardship
- Analyze funding trends and maintain accurate grant pipeline tracking in Salesforce
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices and proposal development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $1M+ in secured funds
- Proven success with federal/state grants (SAM.gov registration required)
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with attention to detail and persuasive storytelling
- Experience with nonprofit financials and budget development for grants
- Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce experience strongly preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful grant applications and funded projects
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities in fast-paced environment
