Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational mission
- Develop compelling grant proposals with compelling narratives, detailed budgets, and measurable outcomes
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with program officers and funding partners
- Collaborate with program staff to gather project data and impact metrics
- Manage grant submission deadlines and compliance requirements
- Prepare interim/final reports to funders showcasing program achievements
- Analyze funding trends and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 3+ years professional grant writing experience with proven success rate
- Portfolio of successfully funded grants ($50K+ awards)
- Expertise in researching and navigating complex funding databases
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong analytical abilities for budget development and outcome measurement
- Experience working with environmental or education nonprofits preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software
