Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from federal, state, private, and corporate sources
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and reports aligned with funder requirements
- Cultivate relationships with program staff to gather necessary program data and impact metrics
- Manage a portfolio of 15-20 active grants with strict deadlines and compliance requirements
- Analyze funding trends and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
- Maintain accurate grant databases and reporting systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Communications, Nonprofit Management, English) or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with measurable funding success
- Proven ability to secure grants from diverse funding sources ($50k-$500k range)
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Strong research and analytical abilities to interpret complex program data
- Proficiency with grant management software (e.g., GrantStation, Salesforce NPSP)
- Knowledge of nonprofit financial management and budget development
