Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and apply for federal, state, and private foundation grants to secure funding for Visionary Impact Foundation.
- Write clear, persuasive, and error-free grant proposals, including executive summaries, problem statements, and budgets.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive grants calendar to track deadlines and submission requirements.
- Collaborate with program directors and finance teams to ensure accurate data and realistic budget projections.
- Manage donor correspondence and provide updates on grant progress and reporting requirements.
- Research best practices in philanthropy and grant-making trends to refine our approach.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Grant Writer or in a similar fundraising capacity within the non-profit sector.
- Strong command of the English language with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Deep knowledge of federal and state grant application processes and compliance requirements.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into compelling stories.
- Self-motivated and organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
