Responsibilities
- Research & Strategy: Conduct in-depth research to identify and evaluate potential grant opportunities from federal, state, and private foundations that align with our organizational goals.
- Proposal Development: Write clear, persuasive, and well-structured grant proposals, including budgets, narrative sections, and executive summaries, ensuring high success rates.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with funders, program officers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely submission and compliance.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit required grant reports, tracking outcomes and impact metrics to maintain funders' trust and secure future funding.
- Donor Communication: Draft newsletters, fundraising appeals, and other communication materials to engage donors and expand our base of support.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant writing, proposal development, or fundraising within the non-profit sector.
- Skills: Proven track record of securing significant funding; exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities; strong analytical skills for budget preparation.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the non-profit landscape in Arizona and federal grant-making processes.
- Attributes: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
