Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals
- Develop persuasive grant proposals with compelling narratives and accurate budgets
- Cultivate relationships with program officers and funding agency representatives
- Manage reporting requirements and ensure compliance for active grants
- Collaborate with program staff to gather project data and impact metrics
- Maintain accurate grant tracking databases and deadline calendars
- Conduct prospect research to identify new funding sources
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience
- Proven track record of securing $500k+ in annual grant funding
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to translate complex programs into compelling narratives
- Familiarity with diverse funding sources (government, corporate, foundation)
- Advanced proficiency in grant management databases (e.g., Salesforce NPSP)
- Strong analytical skills for budget development and financial reporting
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
