Responsibilities
- Research & Identification: Conduct in-depth research to identify and prioritize potential funding sources, including government agencies, private foundations, and corporate sponsors relevant to our mission.
- Proposal Development: Write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective funders to ensure timely submission and continued partnership.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit timely, accurate, and high-quality final reports to funders to demonstrate impact and accountability.
- Collaboration: Partner with program directors and finance teams to align grant writing with organizational goals and budget requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in grant writing, with a strong portfolio of successful funded proposals.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Writing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the non-profit landscape and fundraising strategies in New York.
