Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from federal, state, and private foundations
- Develop and write persuasive grant proposals with compelling narratives and budgets
- Cultivate relationships with program officers and funding partners
- Manage grant compliance reporting and ensure accurate financial documentation
- Mentor junior staff on best practices in grant development
- Analyze funding trends and adapt strategies to maximize success rates
- Coordinate cross-departmental input to align proposals with organizational goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 5+ years of grant writing experience with $1M+ secured annually
- Proven track record with federal, state, and foundation grants
- Exceptional writing skills with portfolio of successful proposals
- Advanced knowledge of nonprofit financial management and reporting
- Strong analytical skills for program evaluation and impact measurement
- Ability to thrive in deadline-driven environments with competing priorities
- Certified Grant Writer (CGW) or equivalent preferred
