We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Grant Writer to join our team at the Portland Community Foundation. Due to a significant expansion of our social impact programs, we are urgently hiring a dedicated professional to help us secure the funding necessary to drive change in our community.

Responsibilities
- Research & Strategy: Identify and research potential federal, state, and private foundation funding opportunities that align with our organizational mission.
- Proposal Development: Draft high-quality, persuasive grant narratives, budget narratives, and cover letters that meet strict funder guidelines.
- Grant Management: Manage the end-to-end grant lifecycle, including submission, compliance, and reporting to ensure continued funding.
- Collaboration: Partner with program staff and leadership to gather impact data and technical information required for successful proposals.
- Database Maintenance: Maintain and update our CRM and grant management databases to track deadlines, funding history, and donor relationships.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Policy, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of successful grant writing experience specifically within the non-profit or social services sector.
- Track Record: Proven history of securing multi-year or large-scale grants (demonstrated by portfolio or references).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in grant management software (e.g., Fluxx, SurveyMonkey Apply) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail and grammar.
