Responsibilities
- Transaction Processing: Accurately process motor vehicle transactions, including license renewals, vehicle registrations, and title transfers, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
- Customer Assistance: Assist customers with complex inquiries regarding driver's license requirements, point systems, and vehicle history using our state-of-the-art software.
- Financial Management: Handle cash, check, and credit card payments with precision, maintaining strict accountability and balancing daily terminals.
- Record Management: Operate departmental databases to update customer records, verify identity documents, and ensure data integrity.
- Service Excellence: Maintain a welcoming and professional environment for all visitors, including those with special needs or language barriers.
- Problem Resolution: Resolve customer complaints and service issues diplomatically to ensure high satisfaction rates and minimize escalations.
- Compliance: Adhere to all state and county regulations regarding privacy, security, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical certification in business or public administration is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in customer service, retail, or government administration is highly preferred.
