Responsibilities
- Execute infrastructure projects including road repairs, sewer maintenance, and park renovations
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders) with precision and safety protocols
- Install traffic control systems and maintain public works zones
- Perform material handling, equipment maintenance, and site cleanup duties
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement project specifications
- Adhere to OSHA standards and city compliance regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years construction/public works experience
- Valid Michigan Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification required
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Experience with heavy machinery operation preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pass background check and drug screening
