Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, loaders, dump trucks) with certification
- Assist in road repair, sidewalk construction, and drainage projects
- Maintain job site safety and comply with OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams for infrastructure improvements
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and pre-inspections
- Document work progress and material usage accurately
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Familiarity with Caltrans specifications and blueprints
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
