Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders) for construction projects
- Install and maintain underground utilities (water, sewer, storm drains)
- Perform asphalt/concrete paving and repair operations
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
- Assist in traffic control and public safety during project execution
- Conduct site preparation and cleanup activities
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of public works/construction experience
- Valid Minnesota Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification required
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Experience with underground utility installation preferred
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights/weekends
