Responsibilities
- Excavate, grade, and prepare construction sites using hand/power tools
- Install and maintain underground utility systems (water, sewer, drainage)
- Operate heavy equipment safely under supervision (bulldozers, graders)
- Perform concrete work including pouring, finishing, and form-setting
- Conduct daily site inspections and safety compliance checks
- Collaborate with engineers and skilled trades on complex projects
- Document work progress and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years heavy civil construction experience
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement skills
- Class A/B CDL preferred (training available)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
