Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using advanced detection technology
- Conduct thorough physical pat-downs and baggage inspections per TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints with vigilance and professionalism
- Respond to security alerts and emergency situations with calm authority
- Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents and screenings
- Train new officers on TSA procedures and equipment operation
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during heightened security alerts
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Successfully complete TSA Security Officer Training Academy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages valued)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Minimum 18 years of age with clean criminal record
