Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough physical searches of individuals and property as required
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes for compliance with security regulations
- Identify and report suspicious items, activities, or potential security threats
- Provide courteous assistance to travelers while maintaining professional security protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport staff to ensure seamless security operations
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents and screening activities
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status with required immigration documentation
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
