Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items using advanced detection technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive trace detection systems
- Monitor security checkpoints and report suspicious activities or security breaches
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers during screening procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and security incidents
Qualifications
- US citizenship required
- Minimum age 18 at time of application
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- Successfully complete medical examination and fitness assessment
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- No felony convictions or recent misdemeanor arrests
