Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using advanced X-ray technology and manual inspection techniques
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and explosive trace detection when required
- Monitor security checkpoints and enforce TSA regulations with professionalism
- Respond to security incidents and emergency situations following protocol
- Operate and maintain screening equipment including millimeter wave scanners and ETD devices
- Document security activities and maintain accurate records
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security standards
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel as needed
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with screening technology
