Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages safely to residential and commercial addresses along designated routes
- Sort and organize mail efficiently according to postal regulations and delivery sequences
- Operate delivery vehicles responsibly, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report any irregularities or suspicious activities
- Provide courteous customer service during interactions with residents and businesses
- Operate automated delivery equipment and handheld scanning devices
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status with valid work authorization
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift heavy packages up to 70 pounds regularly
- Ability to walk extended distances (up to 10 miles daily) in various weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for operating scanning devices
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required
