Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park facilities, playgrounds, sports courts, and recreational equipment
- Lead engaging recreational activities, youth programs, and community events
- Enforce park safety protocols and provide first aid/CPR assistance as needed
- Perform routine groundskeeping, litter removal, and minor facility maintenance
- Assist with event setup, registration, and participant coordination
- Document incidents, maintenance issues, and program attendance
- Interact positively with diverse community members and stakeholders
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C)
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
- Physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varied weather
- Basic knowledge of recreational activities or willingness to learn quickly
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training provided if needed)
