Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls with calm professionalism and precise information gathering
- Coordinate police, fire, and medical response units via radio and CAD systems
- Maintain accurate incident logs and digital records in compliance with protocols
- Provide critical public safety information during crisis situations
- Operate multi-channel communication systems under pressure
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- U.S. citizenship and valid California driver's license
- Clear criminal background check and drug screening
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Basic computer literacy and typing proficiency (40+ WPM)
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)
- Successful completion of dispatcher entrance examination
