Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end analysis of complex government policy documents to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, technical, and operational units, to implement immediate regulatory changes.
- Prepare high-level briefing notes, impact assessments, and recommendations for senior ministers and civil servants.
- Ensure all project deliverables adhere to strict UK government compliance standards and data protection regulations (GDPR).
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
- Conduct research on best practices in public sector policy to enhance service delivery.
- Represent the department at internal and external working groups as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working within the UK public sector or a relevant government body (minimum 5 years).
- Strong understanding of UK government frameworks, regulatory compliance, and policy formulation processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet immediate deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Relevant degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and government reporting software.
