About the Role

Responsibilities
- Policy Development: Lead the drafting and implementation of high-level government policy documents and strategy papers.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including other government departments, charities, and private sector partners.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of data and evidence to inform policy decisions and justify government spending.
- Project Management: Oversee specific government initiatives, ensuring deadlines are met and project objectives are achieved within budget.
- Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to strict UK government regulations, data protection laws, and parliamentary standards.
- Advisory Role: Provide professional advice to senior management on complex policy issues and legislative changes.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Public Policy, Law, Economics, Social Sciences) is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a policy advisory, civil service, or government-related role.
- UK Residency: Must be a UK resident with the right to work in the UK.
- Citizenship: Must be a British citizen.
- Security Clearance: Eligibility for Security Vetting (SC Clearance) is essential.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
