Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and server hardware to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity for county employees.
- Security Compliance: Implement and enforce data security protocols and assist in the administration of access control systems to protect sensitive government data.
- Project Support: Assist in the deployment of new software applications and hardware upgrades across various county departments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting activities.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external IT vendors to resolve escalated technical issues and manage service contracts.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in network administration or systems support.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and common office productivity software.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with non-technical staff and management.
- Clearance: Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening as per government standards.
