Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex IT systems and software applications to support federal agency operations.
- Conduct system analysis, troubleshoot network issues, and resolve technical problems to ensure minimal downtime.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to safeguard sensitive federal data and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions that meet business needs.
- Document technical processes, create user guides, and provide training to staff on new systems and technologies.
- Manage software licenses, hardware inventory, and vendor relationships to optimize IT resources.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, security standards, and IT best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in IT systems analysis, programming, or software development.
- Experience with federal IT environments, preferably with the Department of the Interior or similar agencies.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Strong knowledge of network architectures, cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure), and database management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
