Role Overview:
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of federal IT systems, ensuring high availability and security for agency stakeholders. You will act as a technical lead, resolving complex network issues, managing system configurations, and ensuring strict compliance with federal security standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of federal IT infrastructure and server environments.
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems in strict accordance with federal security standards and compliance protocols.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to safeguard sensitive government data.
- Provide high-level technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders and federal agency personnel.
- Manage network configurations, optimize system performance, and ensure high availability of critical services.
- Document technical processes, system configurations, and maintain accurate records of all system changes and incident reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies that improve government efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- At least 3 years of professional experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or technical support.
- Experience working with federal systems, security clearances, or government contracting environments is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in network protocols, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.
