Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for federal hardware, software, and network systems.
- Manage and configure local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor system security and implement protocols to comply with federal cybersecurity standards (FISMA).
- Conduct regular system audits and maintenance to prevent downtime and data breaches.
- Assist in the planning and deployment of new IT infrastructure and software solutions.
- Collaborate with federal stakeholders to translate technical requirements into actionable IT solutions.
- Document all technical processes, configurations, and incident reports accurately.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for most federal positions.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: At least 3 years of professional IT experience in system administration or network support.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification is highly preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, TCP/IP networking, and virtualization technologies.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
