Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts to identify and respond to potential cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen network defenses.
- Implement and maintain security controls and protocols in accordance with NIST and federal standards.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for federal personnel.
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH are highly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or information systems security.
- Deep understanding of federal regulations, policies, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, NIST SP 800-53).
- Proficiency with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
