Responsibilities
- Monitor federal network traffic to identify and mitigate potential security threats in real-time.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems.
- Develop and implement security policies and compliance frameworks in accordance with federal regulations.
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including data breaches and malware attacks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff on security protocols and incident response procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security or information assurance.
- Strong knowledge of federal compliance standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
