Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of NIST cybersecurity frameworks across federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate breach mitigation efforts
- Manage security compliance audits for federal infrastructure projects
- Mentor junior analysts on emerging threat intelligence and defensive techniques
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on cybersecurity initiatives
- Stay current on zero-day vulnerabilities and threat actor tactics
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in federal IT security compliance
- Certifications in CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in FISMA compliance frameworks
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Ability to obtain DHS suitability clearance
