Responsibilities
- Manage, operate, and maintain complex federal information systems and networks to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive taxpayer data in compliance with federal regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for internal staff and federal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade legacy systems and integrate modern cybersecurity solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and generate performance reports for senior leadership.
- Provide technical training and support to junior staff members regarding federal IT policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university.
- At least 3 years of specialized experience in information technology, including network administration or system security.
- Knowledge of federal IT regulations such as FISMA and NIST standards.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) and virtualization technologies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced government environment.
