Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize federal IT systems including electronic health records and cybersecurity protocols
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for VA medical center staff and veterans
- Implement and maintain network infrastructure following federal NIST guidelines
- Coordinate system upgrades and disaster recovery initiatives
- Document IT processes and maintain compliance with federal regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT modernization projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of IT infrastructure management experience
- Federal IT certification (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar)
- Proficiency in healthcare IT systems (e.g., VistA, Cerner)
- Strong knowledge of FISMA compliance frameworks
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and virtualization
