Responsibilities
- Review and adjudicate Social Security disability/retirement claims for accuracy and eligibility
- Analyze medical/vocational evidence to determine benefit qualifications
- Conduct claimant interviews to gather critical documentation
- Apply complex federal regulations (SSR, POMS) to case decisions
- Process payments and maintain detailed case documentation
- Collaborate with medical consultants and legal teams on complex cases
- Provide clear benefit explanations to claimants and stakeholders
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry systems
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to interpret complex federal regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience in customer service or public administration (preferred)
- Ability to pass federal background investigation
