Responsibilities
- Manage and secure federal IT systems including network infrastructure and cloud platforms
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data
- Provide technical support for mission-critical applications and user systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration and upgrades
- Develop and maintain IT documentation and disaster recovery plans
- Ensure compliance with federal IT security standards (NIST, FISMA)
- Monitor system performance and proactively address vulnerabilities
- Train users on IT security best practices and system usage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in federal IT systems administration
- Active Secret security clearance (required)
- Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks and threat mitigation
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and virtualization
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and system architecture
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification preferred
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
