Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary upgrades to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Provide technical support and training to state employees regarding hardware and software applications.
- Enforce cybersecurity protocols and conduct regular security audits.
- Manage software licensing, patch management, and inventory control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new IT initiatives and digital transformation projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and active directory management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (if applicable).
