Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the City's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for end-users regarding hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
- Ensure data integrity and security by monitoring system performance and implementing necessary patches and updates.
- Conduct regular system audits, perform preventive maintenance, and document technical configurations.
- Collaborate with department heads to assess technology needs and recommend scalable solutions.
- Manage and configure servers, virtualization environments, and cloud-based services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN topology, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment and Microsoft Server environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
