Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across city facilities.
- Monitor network performance metrics and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to ensure 99.9% system uptime.
- Configure and manage firewalls, antivirus software, and security protocols to safeguard sensitive government data.
- Provide expert technical support and training to city staff on new software applications and IT systems.
- Conduct regular system audits and recommend improvements for operational efficiency and security compliance.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners to ensure optimal hardware and software performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Valid Florida Driverβs License and reliable transportation are required.
- Certification in Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Security+ is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in network administration or IT support.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
