The City of Austin is urgently seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will play a critical role in supporting the technological infrastructure that serves the citizens of Austin. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits and a salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network systems.
- Monitor and maintain the security of IT systems to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with team members to implement and upgrade IT infrastructure.
- Document IT procedures and maintain accurate records of system configurations.
- Ensure compliance with government IT policies and regulations.
- Respond to IT service requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and security protocols.
- Experience with government IT compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+) are preferred.
