Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain VA's electronic health record systems and associated infrastructure
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and ensure compliance with federal regulations (NIST, FISMA)
- Lead system integration projects connecting VA facilities across Kentucky
- Provide Tier-3 technical support for critical healthcare applications
- Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct system testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT modernization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience with federal IT systems (VA experience preferred)
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Certification in CompTIA Security+ or CISSP
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization
- Experience with healthcare IT systems (VistA, Cerner, Epic)
- Demonstrated project management skills with PMP certification
