Responsibilities
- Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and security of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of computer systems, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Implement and monitor network security measures to protect against cyber threats.
- Conduct system upgrades and patch management for server environments.
- Provide technical support and guidance to agency staff and external stakeholders.
- Document network topology, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or IT support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Texas Driver’s License.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
