Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for end-users across various city departments.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, servers, and peripheral equipment.
- Manage and monitor network infrastructure to ensure high availability and security compliance.
- Administer operating systems and software applications, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and secure.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the Service Desk ticketing system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new IT solutions and improve workflow efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal and state government security protocols and data privacy laws.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related government role.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Server environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively train and assist non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
