Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network architectures to ensure 99.9% uptime for federal systems.
- Monitor network traffic and security logs to identify vulnerabilities and prevent cyber threats.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end-users and servers across multiple locations.
- Configure and manage firewalls, routers, and switches to enforce security protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade legacy systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations (FISMA, NIST) and security standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or system administration.
- Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Certifications such as CCNA, Security+, or CCNP preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and VPN technologies.
- Experience with Cisco and Juniper hardware is highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a government contracting environment.
