Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues for federal staff.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop environments and peripherals.
- Ensure compliance with federal IT security standards, policies, and regulations.
- Perform regular system backups and data recovery procedures to safeguard sensitive information.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the central Federal Service database.
- Collaborate with the IT security team to conduct vulnerability assessments and patch management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a Federal Security Clearance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and basic networking protocols.
- Strong understanding of federal data privacy laws (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA) and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse federal stakeholders.
