Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues to government employees and the public.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer workstations, servers, and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal system performance.
- Manage and monitor network security protocols to safeguard sensitive state data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist in the deployment and management of software applications and operating systems across the department.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and implement scalable IT solutions.
- Document technical procedures, create user guides, and conduct training sessions for staff on new technologies.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; OR equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
- Proven experience in IT support, system administration, or a related technical role within a government or corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain necessary government security clearances.
