Responsibilities
- Configure, install, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems for state employees.
- Monitor and maintain the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure.
- Ensure data security and compliance with state and federal IT policies.
- Provide technical support and training to department staff regarding software applications and hardware usage.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery testing.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve complex technical issues and procure new equipment.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License and a good driving record.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by state law.
