Position Overview:
The IT Specialist will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing technical solutions that support state agency operations. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify business requirements and translate them into robust system architectures.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for system enhancements and modifications.
- Design, develop, and maintain database structures and backend systems using Oracle and SQL technologies.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment of new software applications and updates.
- Conduct regular system performance monitoring and implement necessary optimizations to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Document technical processes, procedures, and system configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, database management, or software development.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and database management systems.
- Strong understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and API integrations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
